Why is marble getting yellow?

Many white marble, and not only, tiles contain naturally occurring deposits of iron. If water and/ or air is eliminated the iron will not oxidize. This is the reason certain white marble suddenly turn yellow.

In the case of our client, the water leak behind the tiles have turned the marble yellow. If in some cases, when the stain is not deep the marble can be polished or using the right solution to remove the stain. Unfortunately, we could not use any of the solutions of removing the stain and had to remove tiles from wall and floor.

We have supplied Carrara marble from our factory in Italy and bespoke cut the marble in sizes required with the thickness of 10mm.
